We treat a range of conditions. Anything from your typical shoulder/back or knee pain. To your more complex sporting injuries. We even see post operative patient's as long as they have clear documentation from the surgeon regarding their post operative management. If you are older/fragile requiring rehab to get you mobile again we are able to assist. Should you have a neurological condition and require specialised rehab we are able to provide this.

WHAT DOES AN INITIAL PHYSIOTHERAPY APPOINTMENT ENTAIL?

1. A thorough subjective history: an open conversation to understand the history of your injury/condition​

2. A hands on objective assessment: maintaining your modesty and dignity we use a hands on approach to find the root of your injury/condition using special tests and movement analysis

3. Education on your condition

4. A specific treatment: use of manual techniques (ie. soft tissue release), stretching and strengthening exercises to fix your injury

5. A final conversation: ensuring your expectations are met and you understand your injury/condition

6. Documentation: at PHT we meet healthcare standards implemented by the HCPC to track, remain safe and take accountability of our recommendations

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

No you do not. However, if you have a complex background and would like to get your GP's advice before starting physiotherapy - please do. If your physiotherapist is concerned regarding anything sinister, they will signpost your to the most appropriate acute service. For massages we have a consent form where you'll be asked to state your past medical history to ensure massage does not contraindicate any of your conditions.

WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

Currently we do not except medical insurance referrals.
